ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effects of monosodium tetrahexose ganglioside sodium (GM-1) combined with edaravone in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction (ACI) in patients with serum homocysteine (Hcy), high sensitivity C-reactive protein (Hs-CRP). Methods 66 patients with ACI were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 33 cases were treated with conventional neurology. The control group was treated with edaravone. The observation group was treated with edaravone and GM-1. (NIHSS) score, serum hs-CRP and Hcy levels were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 90.91%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). After 21 days of treatment, the NIHSS score, serum Hcy and hs-CRP in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05 ). Conclusion GM-1 combined with edaravone is effective in the treatment of ACI, which can promote the rehabilitation of neurological function and living activity. Its mechanism may be related to its anti-inflammatory response, reduced Hcy level and protection of brain cell injury.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect and effects on nerve conduction velocity of α-lipoic acid combined with monosialoteterahexosyl ganglioside sodium (GM 1) on diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN).Methods Ninety-six cases patients with DPN were randomly divided into the observation group (50 cases) and the control group(46 cases). The control group received GM1 40 mg daily though travenous drip, the observation group received α-lipoic acid 600 mg and daily though travenous drip. The course of treatment was 2 weeks in two groups. The effect was observed after 2 weeks, the motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCV) and sensory nerve conduction velocity (SNCV) of median nerve and common peroneal nerve were detected by EMG.Results The total effectiveness of observation group was 94.00%(47/50),higher than that of the control group(71.74% (33/46),x2=7.0205,P< 0.05).After the treatment,MNCV and SNCV of median nerve of observation group and the control group were (47.6813.34)m/s and (43.82±3.10)m/s,(40.23±2.76)m/s,(37.31 ±2.79)m/s,and M NCV and SNCV of common peroneal nerve of observation group and the control group were(42.86±3.16)m/s and (39.47±2.17)m/s,(35.67±2.61) m/s and (32.16±2.50) m/s,all improved compared to before treatment(observation grou:t =7.876,8.428,6.923,7.234;control grou:t =3.572,3.483,3.413,4.182;P<0.05),and the magnitude of improvement of the observation group was more significant, and the difference was significant compared to control group after six months (t =5.133,3.827,4.634,4.545;P<0.05).Conclusion α-lipoic acid combined with GM1 in the treatment of DPN can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients and improve nerve conduction velocity,is better than the single use of gangliosides,it is worthy of clinical application.

ABSTRACT

To explore the clinical effect of ganglioside sodium in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction and its influ-ence on hs-CRP and TNF-α in serum. Methods:A total of 216 patients with acute cerebral infarction were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group. The control group (108 cases) was given regular treatment, and the observation group (108 cases) was given 100 mg ganglioside in 250 ml 0. 9% sodium chloride, ivd, qd additionally, and the treatment course was 14d. The clinical effect of the two groups was compared, and the change of hs-CRP and TNF-αin serum was also researched in both groups. Re-sults:The total effective rate of the observation group was 90. 7%, which was obviously higher than that of the control group (71. 3%, P<0. 05). After the treatment, the NDS score of the observation group was lower than that before the treatment, while the ADL score was higher than that before the treatment (P<0. 05). After the treatment, the level of hs-CRP and TNF-α in serum was higher than that before the treatment in the two groups (P<0. 05), and that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0. 05). During the treatment, no adverse reaction was shown in the two groups. Conclusion:The clinical effect of ganglioside sodi-um in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction is promising, which can reduce the level of hs-CRP and TNF-αin serum of the patients and improve the scores of NDS and ADL with good safety, and is worthy of further clinical application.

ABSTRACT

Objective To compare the curative effects between domestic and imported monosialotetrahexosyl ganglioside sodium (GM 1) on neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy(HIE).Methods 104 neonates with HIE were randomly divided into Shenjie group(domestic GM 1,53 cases )and Pharma group (imported GM 1,51 cases). At the basic of conventional therapy, the two groups received domestic or imported GM 1 20 mg /d intravenous infusion for 7~ 28 d,rspectively. The curative effects and adverse reaction were observed. Results The total effective rates in Shenjie group and Pharma group were 98.11% and 88.24%,respectively.There was no significant difference between the two groups. While, there was no obvious adverse reaction in the two groups. Conclusion Both the domestic and imported GM 1 have the same good curative effects and safety on neonatal HIE.
